Payment Options

Financial options are discussed during the initial visit. Dr. Clinebell and his staff are committed to providing excellent dental care and helping patients to select the best payment option for their individual needs. We realize that orthodontics can be a major financial investment in the life of  your child or loved one. Our goal is to make orthodontics affordable for all patients who seek care. We provide flexible payment options to assist you in obtaining this important care for your child or for yourself.  We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards. We also offer low- and no-interest financing through our office as well as longer term financing through the CareCredit® system.

We offer several different payment plans:

  • If the total fee is paid at initial appliance placement, a 5% bookkeeping courtesy will be applied if paid by check or cash and a 2% bookkeeping courtesy will be applied if paid by credit card.
  • The total fee will be divided into an initial down payment with the remaining balance divided into equal monthly payments ranging from 4-24 months. The number of monthly payments and payment amounts are based on the type of treatment provided. Our initial fee and monthly payment plans are interest free. The payments are due on the 1st of each month and are paid directly to our office.
  • For your convenience, we accept cash, check, Visa, Discover and MasterCard.  An auto-debit to your credit card or bank account is available upon request.
  •  If full financing or a longer financing term is needed, we work with Care Credit®. Care Credit® provides terms of 36, 48, and up to 60 months. Care Credit® pays our office and you pay Care Credit® directly. Care Credit® will provide you with information about their interest rate and terms of financing your treatment through them.

Dental Insurance

-Dental Insurance is a contract between your employer and an insurance company.

-Orthodontic coverage is based on the negotiated plan your employer has chosen. Orthodontic offices are not involved in determining which services are covered, the percentage of the fee that is covered or whether a specific service is covered at all. We urge you to read the policy so that you are fully aware of coverage and any limitations of the benefits provided.

-Often the dental insurance company will pay a portion of the patient’s orthodontic fee. Typically there is a lifetime maximum payment that your insurance company will pay toward  orthodontic treatment.  Insurance companies determine the timing and the amount of each payment that you receive up to the lifetime maximum.

-Our office will do everything possible to help you understand your coverage. To make the process easier for you, we will be happy to help by submitting your insurance claim to your dental insurance company.

-Insurance reimbursements will be sent directly to the patient. If you have not received a payment within 8 weeks of our filing, please contact our Insurance Specialist, Lisa, at or call 404-325-8116 and she will be glad to assist you.

-Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) can be used to pay for orthodontic treatment. We will be glad to help you maximize use of funds in these accounts if you choose to use those dollars towards orthodontic treatment. Please contact our office if you need any documentation for your plan.

-Please remember you are ultimately responsible for the total of your contract. Our goal is to help you achieve the maximum reimbursement to which you are entitled.
